Corrosion Protection to Ensure Long Term Durability

Corrosion protection is critical to the longevity and full lifecycle costs of projects.

Viva Engineering works closely with the Corrosion Institute of Southern Africa and paint manufacturers, giving assurance that corrosion protection systems are specified and applied to meet environmental demands and international standards.

Viva’s painting facility includes a 12 500 m² undercover painting area with dedicated laydown areas for inspections and loading.

All work is completed in strict compliance to project specifications and international standards. Technical support is provided when required by the Corrosion Institute of Southern Africa and paint manufacturers.

Viva’s galvanising partner has a 16 500 m² galvanizing facility with dedicated laydown areas for inspections and loading.

The zinc kettle measures an impressive 15.3m long (15m effective) by 3.5m deep (3.25m effective), by 2m wide (1.8m effective).

All work is completed in strict compliance to project specifications and internation standards. Technical support is when required by the Hot Dip Galvanizing Association of Southern Africa

All inspection teams are certified by the National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE). Viva’s full-time in-house quality assurance and control inspectors, ensure consistent oversight and adherence to international standards throughout the corrosion protection processes.

Rubber, ceramic, plastic, hard-wearing steel and specialised rubber backed linings are all handled by our experienced lining teams. Our project managers coordinate the lining processes, while our quality teams ensure all lined platework leaves our facilities meeting the project specifications.

To support long-term asset performance, Viva supplies liners and spare parts for all completed projects through our dedicated aftermarket team, ensuring continuity and reducing plant downtime for our clients.
