Structural steel and platework fabrication have been a core capability at Viva Engineering since 2007.

Our digital approach improves part traceability, reduces workflow constraints and ensures consistent quality across high-volume and complex projects.

Our technology includes:

  • Ficep Vanguard Automated Beamline – CNC driven cutting and drilling of hot-rolled steel sections
  • Hypertherm Plasma System – CNC driven high-definition plate processing
  • Ficep CNC Line Anglematic – CNC driven rapid and automated processing of angles

These systems integrate our workflow to support predictable timelines and reliable output.

Our workshop teams include experienced boilermakers and coded welders who are qualified and work to international standards. Their expertise, combined with technology-enabled processes, ensure each component is manufactured with accuracy, repeatability and consistent quality.

Our facilities are designed to handle a wide range of fabrication needs, from light steel to large heavy platework and complex assemblies. Each workshop is fully equipped with overhead crane capacity and organised into dedicated bays for efficient workflow.

  • Bay 1: Light steelwork fabrication
  • Bay 2: Platework fabrication
  • Bay 3: Medium steelwork fabrication
  • Cranage: Multiple cranes with 8 m hook height and 20-ton lifting capacity

Workshop 2 (20 Loper Avenue)

  • Bay 1: Light steelwork
  • Bay 2: Platework
  • Bay 3: Medium steelwork
  • Cranage: Multiple cranes with 5 m hook height and 10-ton lifting capacity

Off-Site Assembly Yard

  • 5 000 m² assembly and staging area
  • Mobile cranes suited for safe off site assembly of projects

Across our workshops and our off site assembly yard, we produce 5000 tons of steelwork and platework annually. This capacity enables us to meet demanding schedules without compromising on quality or safety and allowing us to support large multi-disciplinary projects with confidence.
